Visual Arts – Drawing

Peanut, by Aaliyah Noriega

Sophomore Aaliyah Noriega was inspired to do this drawing because the cat in the image looked very similar to her cat. She used a fine point Sharpie and a small ink marker. Noriega enjoyed creating art “… is enjoyable. You can really add your own life to an image or project,” she said. In the future, she sees herself using creativity as a way to relax.

Stretch, by Nicholas Taylor

Junior Nicholas Taylor wanted to incorporate his two hobbies, running and drawing, so he made “stretch”. To make the piece he used scratchboard and white gel pen. Taylor likes art because he can make his own ideas. He hopes to keep drawing.

The Bird, by Gabriela Cobos Sanchez

Junior Gabriela Cobos Sanchez was inspired to do her drawing by a photo she saw of a bird and so she decided, mainly because of her love of animals, to draw it. To make the bird she used fine tip sharpies. Sanchez likes how relaxing art is and how you can express yourself. She also said, “I see it as a fan of qualities to creating from scratch to develop an idea”
