Here’s a message from the Boise school district about school closing due to the corona virus

Boise Schools Closed March 16-27, 2020
Day Camps To Open Tomorrow
Boise, ID — 03/15/2020 — To best serve our students, staff and families, Boise Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16th and will remain closed through Friday, March 27th. Office staff at all schools will be available Monday for parents to pick up student medications, personal belongings, etc.
All athletics and activities, including practices, have been suspended until further notice. The District’s child care provider, Just for Kids, will also be closed.
Boise Schools to Open Four Emergency Day Camps on Monday, March 16th
To help ease the burden on families during school closures, we have developed a plan to open Emergency Day Camps for parents who qualify at four schools on Monday, March 16th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The day camps are open to parents of K-6 Boise School District students who fall into general categories such as healthcare providers, first responders, and parents required to work.  Students must be dropped off in person and checked-in with an employee.
Food pantries are also available at the District’s six Community Schools from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.:
Frank Church High School – 8051 W. Salt Creek Ct., Boise, ID 83709
Whittier Elementary – 301 N. 29th St., Boise, ID 83702
While schools are closed, we encourage families to practice social distancing, excellent personal hygiene and follow the latest guidance from Central District Health.
This week, Boise School District administrative staff will meet to develop plans to ensure our students’ and parents’ most basic needs are met during this stressful time, including family activity materials, meals, and childcare options in the event the school closure lasts beyond March 27th.
